El Establo Marea
Completed in August 2006, El Establo is a unique, self-contained apartment perched in the green, jungle canopy. Below, three horses, a few chickens and turkeys wander about the stables looking for tidbits. Always curious, they may wander over to say hello or search for that handful of oats or corn. From the porch you will be eye-to-eye with the howler monkeys as they travel through the property in search of ripe mangoes. Situated above the horse stables, El Establo is perfect for animal lovers and for those with an adventurous flair who desire accommodations that are exotic, and slightly different from all the rest.

El Establo is a large open studio with a hand carved king size bed and private bath. The couches, as in all of our houses, convert into two single beds. El Establo, cozy and comfortable for two, easily accommodates two more. The soothing, wood-paneled interior features Costa Rican hardwoods finished to perfection, creating a warm and inviting ambiance.

In your fully equipped kitchen create a meal and enjoy it at the open air bar overlooking the adjoining jungle. Slip down the stairs and walk a few steps to the full size lap pool and regulation tennis court. Fall soundly asleep to the soft shuffling of the horses below as they edge in for the choicest mouthful of freshly cut hay. For restful sleep if the temperatures rise, El Establo is completely enclosed and air-conditioned. Maid service is provided once per week.

All the houses are a mere 5-minute walk down a tree-shaded lane to a white sand beach that will not disappoint. Take a break from the sun and enjoy breakfast or lunch at Rosie's, a typical Tico cafe that is a local favorite. Prices subject to change.
